Our Story
It Started with a Rash
When our kids developed persistent skin irritations, we did what most parents do. We tried everything. Different creams, different detergents, different routines. What we didn't think to question was the fabric against their skin every single day.
It took us longer than we'd like to admit to make the connection. And when we finally did, when we switched to organic cotton and saw the difference almost immediately, we felt equal parts relief and frustration. Relief that we'd found an answer. Frustration that nobody had told us sooner.
That's the part that still bothers us. There are so many parents out there going through the same thing right now, not realising that the conventional fabrics their babies wear every day could be part of the problem. The information gap is real, and it shouldn't be this hard to figure out.

Finding Burrow & Be
We discovered Burrow & Be through our own search for better options. Founded by designer Catherine Melo in New Zealand, every piece is GOTS-certified organic cotton. Not just marketed as "natural" or "eco-friendly," but independently verified from fibre to finished garment. No harmful chemicals, no pesticide residues, no greenwashing. Just genuinely gentle fabric against delicate skin.
What struck us beyond the certification was the design. These weren't the plain, boxy organic basics we'd seen elsewhere. Catherine draws inspiration from New Zealand's landscapes to create pieces that are thoughtful, beautiful, and made to be lived in. Clothes our kids actually wanted to wear.

Why We Brought It to Singapore
We're Cynthia and Kyle. Parents first, founders of Burrow & Be Asia second. Cynthia is the heart of the brand here in Singapore. She's the one who selects each collection, who understands what works for our climate and our kids, and who genuinely believes that what touches your baby's skin matters more than most parents realise.
Kyle handles the behind-the-scenes: the logistics, the strategy, and the stubborn belief that Singapore parents deserve access to the same quality that families in New Zealand have had for years, without the overseas shipping wait or the currency markup guesswork.

Together, we wanted to do more than just sell clothes. We wanted to make it easier for parents in Singapore to make informed choices: to know what GOTS certification actually means, to understand why organic cotton feels different, and to have a trusted local source that ships from Singapore in 1-3 business days.

What We Stand For
Transparency over marketing. We'd rather explain what GOTS certification means than throw around buzzwords. If you have questions about any of our products, we'll give you a straight answer.
Designed for Singapore. Every piece we carry is chosen with our climate in mind. Breathable, lightweight, and comfortable in the heat and humidity our kids live in daily.
Gentle on skin, kind to the planet. Organic cotton uses no synthetic pesticides or fertilisers. It's better for your child and better for the world they'll grow up in.
A real family behind the brand. When you message us, you're talking to us, not a call centre. We're parents who use these products on our own children, every single day.
